John Stuckemeyer
Texas State Counsel, State Farm

John Stuckemeyer is the Texas State Counsel for the State Farm Insurance Companies in Austin, Texas.  John is also responsible for Arkansas and Oklahoma.  He is a registered Texas lobbyist and serves on the Board of Directors of the Insurance Council of Texas, the Texas Coalition of Affordable Insurance Solutions and the Texas Association of Business.

He joined State Farm as a summer intern in 1991 and joined the Law Department full time in 1992.  He began his career by managing legal and government affairs in the New England states.   In 1995, John moved to Sacramento, California where he managed legal and government affairs culminating in the enactment of the California Earthquake Authority.  He relocated to Tallahassee, Florida in 1997 where he led Florida legal and government affairs.  In 2000 John relocated to Bloomington, Illinois and assumed responsibility for legal government affairs in the Mid-Atlantic states. In 2009, John relocated to Austin, Texas where he assumed his current responsibilities.

John graduated Magna Cum Laude with a Doctorate of Jurisprudence from the Southern Illinois University School of Law in 1992.  He graduated with a Bachelors of English with honors from Eastern Illinois University in 1989.  He is a native of Southern Illinois.  He is married to State Farm employee Kate Stuckemeyer and they have two teenage children Jack and Jessica.
