ABOUT ICT
About THE SYMPOSIUM

Inform

For 30 years ICT and AFACT have created the premier event in Texas connecting senior executives and industry leaders to learn the latest trends and issues impacting the business of insurance in the state. Whether it is techniques to improve customer relations, catastrophe response or innovations that are changing our industry, we are confident you will takeaway valuable tools to change your business.

CONNECT

One of the most valuable takeaways from the Symposium is networking. Come connect with colleagues from the P&C world and our 400 member companies. The Insurance Council of Texas is the largest state trade P&C insurance association in the country, and we’ve hosted this industry event to help connect the industry.

Inspire

The Symposium is the largest fundraiser for the Education Foundation. All proceeds from corporate sponsorships, individual donations, silent auction, and golf outing go towards the Education Foundation and scholarships benefiting students at nine Texas schools.

Insurance Council of Texas Education Foundation

Since 2002, the Insurance Council of Texas has been awarding scholarships and grants to Texas university students and business schools to enhance their insurance and risk management programs. This year, our goal is to raise $90,000 for the foundation. Your tax deductible donation supports the next generation of professionals. Corporate and individual contributions will be acknowledged and added to our list of donors. What better way to give back to the industry and encourage today's Texas university students to enter our business. Watch our progress below, thank you!

There are certain moments in history that compel those in leadership to rise to another level.  In our present landscape . . . a global pandemic, racial unrest and political division combine to create such a moment.  And, if you’re a leader . . . it’s an opportunity of a lifetime!

Cassie Brown, Insurance Commissioner, TDI

Commissioner Brown will sit down with ICT’s Executive Director, Albert Betts for a “Coffee Talk” to discuss her vision and the state of the insurance industry in Texas.

I always benefit greatly from attending the ICT P&C Symposium. The program and agenda are always very engaging and I walk away with key insights into the insurance marketplace in Texas – in addition to valuable networking opportunities. Speakers have always come well-prepared with content that gives me what I need to understand the economic, legislative and legal aspects of our industry.

It has been an honor to serve on the Foundation since its inception. Sharing the opportunities found in the industry is great, and helping students with scholarship awards is even more fulfilling.
